WRITTING
THE MARKETING EXCHANGE
“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.”
There has never been a more false statement in life and especially in business. Whether communicating through
a brochure, TV, radio, or newspaper, what you say and how you say it are major considerations.
Humor and sensitivity, fact and fiction, style and creativity all make for effective
communication tools. Our approach to the writing process and the use of words is to
first identify what our intent is. Make ‘em laugh? Make ‘em cry? Make ‘em think?
Make a statement? Regardless, we write with twelve ideas in mind... Words are small.
Words are big. Words are fun. Words have life. Words are powerful. Words are
dangerous. Words are explosive. Words can kill. Words are fragile. Choose words
carefully. Handle with care. Proceed with caution.
